Scottish Hazards will be asking delegates to the 14th Annual Disabled Workers Conference about changes they see necessary to create fair, safe and healthy work for disabled workers.
The Scottish Government wants to see a successful economy with fair work as its foundation by 2025. With 8 years to go disabled workers still face barriers securing and retaining employment, barriers that will have to be torn down if Scotland has any chance of achieving that ambition.
Scottish Hazards wants to work with disabled trade unionists and disabled groups to workers create a fair work agenda and has created a charter to facilitate discussion around the fair work dimensions of effective voice, opportunity, security, fulfilment and respect and actions required by employers within these themes to deliver healthier, safer and ultimately fairer work for disabled people.
